About the Opportunity
The organization is continuing to grow, and the Project Management team is expanding across both its Parcel and Distribution & Fulfillment (D&F) business segments. As a Project Manager, you will lead complex material handling and automation projects for some of the world’s most recognized brands, serving as a trusted partner to both customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and enjoys balancing customer relationships, project execution, financial management, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Own the success of complex automation projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and with an exceptional customer experience.
- Lead cross-functional teams by creating clarity around priorities, accountability, communication, and execution across engineering, controls, procurement, installation, commissioning, finance, and field teams.
- Build and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project, managing scope, critical path, resources, and key milestones to keep projects moving forward.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your customers, building trusted relationships through proactive communication, transparency, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define project requirements, align expectations, and translate technical information into clear, actionable plans.
- Identify risks before they become problems, developing mitigation strategies and driving solutions that keep projects on track.
- Own the financial health of your projects, including budgets, forecasting, cash flow, change orders, and billing performance.
- Partner across the business to ensure the right resources are aligned at the right time while fostering collaboration and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Champion successful project execution by balancing customer expectations, team priorities, safety, quality, and business objectives every step of the way.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience within material handling, automation, industrial, manufacturing, construction, or a related industry.
- Successfully led complex, cross-functional projects from planning through completion.
- Experience managing projects valued at approximately $30M or greater while coordinating teams of 10-15 or more contributors.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and project performance.
- PMP certification or willingness to obtain it within six months of joining the organization.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Communicate confidently with customers, executives, field teams, and technical stakeholders alike.
- Build trust through accountability, collaboration, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities shift and every day brings a new challenge.
- Enjoy leading teams, solving complex problems, and helping customers achieve successful project outcomes.
- Comfortable translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and bringing diverse teams together around a common goal.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% to support projects and customers.
