We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager with experience in either hospitality or Education construction to join our Sydney team. This role involves managing key client projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality delivery, cost efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full lifecycle delivery of hospitality or Education projects, from feasibility through to handover.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, programs, risk registers, and progress reports.
- Lead project teams and coordinate all on-site and off-site activities.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while meeting Currie & Brown’s high standards of quality and compliance.
- Oversee tender processes, contractor appointments, and contract administration.
- Monitor progress and performance against KPIs and report to senior management and clients.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Australian building codes, compliance, and WHS regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of project management experience within the hospitality (e.g., hotels, resorts, commercial fit-outs) or Education (e.g., University, schools) sectors.
- Consultancy-side experience (PQS or PMC) highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Australian construction regulations, contract forms (e.g., AS 4000), and industry standards.
- Exceptional client-facing and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Aconex, Procore).
- Prior experience in a consulting firm or client-side project management role.
- Accreditation or certification such as PMP, AIPM, or PRINCE2.
- Experience working on Tier 1 or complex high-value projects.
