Project Manager - Lumber

Our Client, a Top Building Material Distributor is actively seeking a Lumber Project Manager. The right candidate will have experience with lumber, purchasing, pricing and market knowledge. Responsibilities include - -Monitor and maintain acceptable inventory levels, turnover, and margins to maximize branch profitability.-Solicits, directs and warehouse sales on all lumber products.-Work closely with branch manager and sales manager in promotion of assigned and new products. -Maintain direct control over replenishment, pricing and inventory of assigned products.-Develop annual marketing plan incorporating vendor, division and product promotions.-Maintain technical product knowledge. -Expert estimating experience-Understands how to do take-offs-Identify and evaluate competitive products, new product opportunities, and competitors.-Maintain customer relationships, quote prices, sell additional products.-Assist operations manager in warehousing assigned products.-Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.-Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications -Experience with Lumber is required and other building materials is preferredCollege degree preferred but not required
