Position Summary Folger Gas is seeking a safe, dependable, and customer-focused Propane Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll safely operate a Class B propane delivery truck to deliver propane to residential and commercial customers throughout the region.
You'll receive specialized training from our experienced team, including assistance obtaining your Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement if needed. This position requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently while providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do Safely operate a single-axle Class B propane delivery truck. Deliver propane to residential and commercial customers accurately and efficiently. Safely connect, pump, and disconnect propane at customer locations.
Complete required hazardous materials training and follow all safety procedures. Inspect equipment and vehicles to ensure safe operation. Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Maintain accurate delivery records and required documentation. Work additional hours during the busy winter heating season as needed. Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency customer needs.
Assist with other operational duties as needed. Required Qualifications Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement (company-paid training available). Ability to successfully complete and apply hazardous materials training.
Must live close enough to respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner. Physically able to operate a Class B delivery truck and pull a propane delivery hose to customer tanks multiple times throughout the day. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and on steep or uneven terrain.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications Current Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement. Previous propane delivery or propane industry experience. Commercial driving experience.
Mechanical aptitude or equipment maintenance experience. Experience working independently in a field-based role. Compensation, Benefits & MoreCompensation $19.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Additional overtime available during the winter season. Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
