PT-Professional Math Tutor

Job Summary

Math tutors provide content and skill‑development tutoring to College of the Mainland students individually or in small groups.

Position Information

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Math or STEM related field required.
• Some tutoring or teaching experience.
• Master’s in Math or STEM related field preferred.
• Experience at a Community College preferred.
• Familiarity with TSI and HESI test.
• Must be able to tutor through Calculus II and Developmental Mathematics (graphing calculator).
• Preferred: ability to tutor through Calculus III and knowledge of Statistics, Finite Math, and Quantitative Reasoning.

Job Duties

• Provide content and skill‑development tutoring to students individually or in small groups.
• Maintain a tutoring schedule as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of tutoring sessions.
• Attend and complete required tutor training.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all student information, material, and discussions shared in the tutoring relationship.
• Perform additional related job duties as required.

Salary

Minimum salary: $16.25 per hour.
