The Role

This is an opportunity to join a skilled engineering team working on bespoke Python solutions for a diverse client base. You will work directly with clients on architecture and design decisions, so this is a role for someone who communicates as confidently as they code. Key Responsibilities

• Build and enhance bespoke Python back-end services across a range of client environments
• Liaise directly with clients on architecture, design and technical decisions
• Deliver high-quality, best-practice software solutions to specification
• Work across a range of architectures, tools and frameworks as each project demands
• Recommend and implement new ideas, tooling and innovations
• Share knowledge and contribute to team learning
• Collaborate as part of dynamic, cross-functional delivery teams
• Produce clean, efficient, well-tested code throughout

What You'll Need

Essential:

• 3+ years of Python development experience building back-end services
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI and/or Flask
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
• Experience with automated test frameworks, including pytest
• Comfortable working with complex datasets
• Based within commuting distance of Belfast City Centre (3 days on-site required)

Desirable / Nice to Have:

• Experience working in a client-facing or consultancy environment
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
