QA/QC Manager - Electrical Construction (Mission Critical)

Quality isn’t an afterthought here, it’s the backbone of how we build. As our QA/QC Manager, you’ll own the quality program for complex, high-stakes electrical construction projects where precision, safety, and accountability are non-negotiable. You’ll partner closely with project teams, field leadership, and BIM to ensure every system we install meets spec, code, and client expectations—every time.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Own the QA/QC program from start to finish
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve project-specific QA/QC plans for large-scale, mission-critical data center projects
- Establish quality objectives, inspection criteria, and performance metrics in partnership with Project Managers and field leadership
- Be the eyes on the work
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of:
- Electrical installations
- Life Safety systems
- Special systems
- Medium Voltage systems
- Equipment and materials
- Verify compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and industry standards
- Drive coordination and documentation: Coordinate closely with the BIM Manager on conduit routing and system coordination
- Maintain daily QC documentation and accurate as-built records
- Review drawings, plans, and specifications to proactively identify quality risks and recommend corrective actions
- Lead issue resolution: Investigate non-conformances, deficiencies, and customer concerns
- Develop and track corrective and preventative action plans
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, test records, and NCR documentation
- Control submittals, RFIs, and close-out: Review and verify all submittals and RFIs for QC compliance
- Lead punch-list inspections and follow-up to ensure timely completion
- Prepare and manage close-out documentation, including:
- O&M manuals
- As-built drawings
- Warranties
- LEED documentation (when applicable)
- Improve How We Build: Monitor and analyze quality performance data to identify trends and opportunities
- Conduct supplier evaluations and quality audits
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of electrical testing equipment
- Stay current on code updates, technology, and best practices
- Always lead with safety—no exceptions
What You Bring
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation methods
- Deep understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA)
- Experience with:
- BAS / BMS / EPMS controls
- Fire Alarm Systems (NFPA 72)
- Mass Notification / Communication Systems (NFPA 72)
- BICSI TDMM (Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual)
- Hands‑on knowledge of electrical testing equipment and inspection techniques
- Proven ability to build and manage QA/QC programs on complex construction projects
- Strong analytical and risk‑assessment skills
- High integrity and sound judgment when working with internal teams, clients, and inspectors
- Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments
Tools & Technology (Preferred, Not Required)
- Procore
- Navisworks
- BIM 360
- Quality management software and reporting tools

Experience & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of QA/QC experience within the electrical contracting industry
- Journeyman Electrician license (preferred)
- Master Electrician license (a plus)
- NICET certification (a plus)
- BICSI certification (a plus)
- OSHA 10 / 30 / 500 (a plus)
- Demonstrated experience supporting Mission Critical / Data Center facilities
- Willingness and ability to travel to active job sites as required
