Responsibilities

Conduct food safety and quality checks, including sensory evaluation, for finished products, work-in-progress, and ingredients to meet specifications. Follow established protocols for out-of-specification results.

Collaborate with customer departments to maintain product quality.

Document lab test results in the lab data management system and on required paper records.

Calibrate lab equipment as required.

Review and evaluate Operations and QA documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Adhere to GMP, GLP, and personal safety guidelines.

Follow programs to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.

Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of Safe Quality Foods (SQF) principles.

Laboratory experience and/or pursuing a degree is preferred.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age

Ability to work in a team environment

Adherence to scheduled work hours, including start, end, lunch, and breaks

Experience with GMP regulations and safety guidelines

Commitment to Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles

All other duties as assigned

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of the job.

Ability to communicate in a manufacturing setting with typical noise levels (PPE required)

Must wear mandated PPE based on assigned area

Stand and walk for 8+ hours in a manufacturing environment

Ascend/descend stairs; perform job-related tasks as needed

Position self to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required

Inspect equipment to ensure it is in good working condition; operate office or floor equipment as needed

Operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office)

Vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception; adjust focus

Lift and/or push/pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
