Intermediate Quality Engineer (QA/QC) – Design Consultancy (Site & Design Interface)
A leading multidisciplinary design consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Quality Engineer (QA/QC) to support quality assurance across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role bridges design coordination and site execution, ensuring that project delivery aligns with established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans in line with company and industry standards.
- Review design documentation, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance, coordination, and buildability.
- Monitor site activities to verify that works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Develop and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality records.
- Coordinate closely with design teams (electrical, mechanical, public health, structural) to resolve quality and compliance issues.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and witness testing, ensuring traceability and proper documentation.
- Identify non-conformances, lead investigations, and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through to close‑out.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of company‑wide QA/QC procedures.
- Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and handover processes, ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the lifecycle.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders on all quality‑related matters.
Requirements
- Degree‑qualified in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, or related discipline).
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a QA/QC, site engineering, or design coordination role, ideally within building services or multidisciplinary consultancy environments.
- Strong understanding of construction quality standards, inspection processes, and documentation systems.
- Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Revit BIM) and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, building regulations, and industry best practices).
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to attend site as required.
