About the Company Umendra Life Sciences is a GMP-compliant OTC topical pharmaceutical manufacturer — creams, gels, lotions, ointments — producing for US and international markets from our plant at Bavla, Greater Ahmedabad. We're looking for an Officer – Quality Control who wants to do real laboratory work in a compliance-first, export-oriented manufacturing environment. The Role This is a hands-on QC position covering chemical analysis, microbiological testing, and laboratory compliance.
You'll be responsible for testing raw materials, packing materials, in-process and finished products, and stability samples — using instruments like HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, and dissolution apparatus — and ensuring every result is documented accurately and reviewed for compliance. You'll also support analytical method validation, manage OOS/OOT reporting, coordinate with QA and production for material release, and contribute to audit readiness. What You'll Do Own chemical and microbiological analysis for raw materials, packing materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples Operate and maintain QC laboratory instruments (HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, Dissolution, pH Meter, etc.) Participate in analytical method validation, calibration, and system suitability activities Maintain laboratory records, logbooks, worksheets, and analytical reports per GLP and data integrity requirements Report OOS, OOT, and deviations — and follow through on CAPA activities Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections Who Fits 1–3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, life sciences, API, or formulation manufacturing plant B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Pharm / M.Pharm in Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy, or a related discipline Hands-on with QC instruments — HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR experience preferred Solid understanding of GLP, GMP, and documentation practices Microbiological testing exposure is a plus You work on-site at our plant in Bavla (35–40 km from central Ahmedabad) — this is a manufacturing environment, not a corporate office
