Brompton Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care Community is now accepting applications for a Recreation Director to oversee planning, coordinating, and implementing programs that reflect the varied interests of the residents and provides them with meaningful and enriching activities. The Recreation Director is a part of the management team of the community and will report to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain a balance of physical, social, spiritual, intellectual, cultural, and creative activities.
- Prepare, distribute and post monthly activity calendars.
- Coordinates seasonal and special events.
- Interviews residents and/or families upon admission to gather interests and needs.
- Participate in the planning and budgeting process for recreation services.
Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience planning and leading recreational programs, events, and activities for seniors in a healthcare setting to include recreation therapy.
- Prior supervisory experience advantageous. Memory Care experience is also a plus.
Other Requirements
- Involves routine mobility. Work includes lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling/moving up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
