As a Recruitment Consultant, you will act as an intermediary between organisations (clients) wishing to recruit staff and professionals (candidates) seeking a career change.
The objective of the consultant is to meet the needs of both the employer and the candidate to ensure the best mutual fit. This is more than just a case of skills matching. It is important to have a strong understanding of the employer’s business, their business culture as well as the professional ambitions of the candidate, ensuring that these are all aligned
What You Will Do
Candidate ManagementProfessionally and effectively manage the recruitment process from beginning to endSource, select, and assess candidate skills and experiences, their career goals and their suitability for different roles, advise candidates on market conditions and job opportunitiesOrganise and coordinate interviews with candidates and fully briefing candidates regarding rolesContribute to candidate review within your team and present high-quality candidatesTake responsibility for keeping in touch with candidates to have a firm knowledge of your candidate pool - both active and inactiveConstantly monitor the candidates in the database to ensure candidates’ availability is kept updated through a periodic reviewDevelop and provide consultation to a large network of candidates with both immediate and long-term career needsEnsure completeness and accuracy of information of candidates within the database
Client EngagementArrange and attend meetings with prospective clients and keep in regular contact to build positive, productive and long-term and trusted relationships with new and existing clientsGain a thorough understanding of your client’s business, culture and successfully interpret their unique resourcing requirement and offer a solution focused approachConsult and advise clients on our portfolio of solutionsPresent profiles to clients, either for existing roles or on a speculative basisEnsure only high-quality candidates are put forward to our clients for interviewAdhere to a short turnaround time for screening applicants, advertising response, reference checkingManage the interview process - from candidate screening through to interview, feedback and negotiation of remuneration package with clientEnsure the Robert Walters database accurately reflects all business dealings with clients and candidatesLead and Support candidate and client functions and events
Seek Opportunities & Thought Leadership that foster business growthTake ownership of your business development plan within your industry specialisationGenerating new business via pro-active business developmentBuild cooperative internal relationships focusing on cross-divisional and cross-regional relationshipsDevelop a solid business pipeline and consistently achieve all revenue and targetsUnderstand Robert Walters commercial terms and negotiate (within pre-agreed parameters with Manager)Identify potential recruitment consultants and refer them to the businessGain understanding of your market specialization by attending specialist events/webinarsKeep up to date about industry trends/recruitment best practices to ensure you can provide and demonstrate market knowledge to both candidates and clients
