Role Description The National Sales Head - Institutional & Project Business is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. This role is responsible for leading institutional and project sales nationally, including developing and executing business plans, setting sales targets, and driving revenue growth through strategic initiatives. Daily responsibilities include managing and mentoring regional sales teams, overseeing channel partner relationships, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely execution of large projects.
The role involves identifying new institutional and project opportunities, preparing and delivering proposals and presentations, and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in corporate, residential, and infrastructure segments. The National Sales Head also monitors market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and support long-term business objectives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Business Planning skills, including forecasting, budgeting, and strategy development for institutional and project sales.
- Candidates should possess Team Management capabilities, including leading multi-location sales teams, performance management, and coaching.
- Candidates should possess Channel Sales expertise, including managing distributors, OEMs, and project partners to expand market coverage.
- Candidates should possess core Sales and Sales & Marketing skills, including negotiation, key account management, pipeline management, and brand positioning.
- Relevant experience (typically 8-12+ years) in B2B, institutional, or project-based sales, preferably in electrical, building infrastructure, or related industries.
- Proven track record of handling large projects, government or corporate institutional clients, and meeting or exceeding national sales targets.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and product teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively within India for client meetings, site visits, and channel partner engagement.
