Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Surgery - $32-48 per hour

Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Surgery, Pre‑op/Post‑op/PACU at Center for Advanced Medicine – South County, Valley Park, Missouri.

Highlights

• 3 operating rooms and one GI suite
• 4–10 hour shifts, Monday–Friday, no nights, holidays or weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with nursing standards.
• Promote patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on illness or injury management, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Engage in professional development and interprofessional collaboration.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with defined goals.
• Ensure effective communication of care plans across the continuum of care.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Assess patient preferences, barriers to involvement, and cultural/spiritual needs.
• Maintain constant alertness and operate in a safe manner as this is a safety‑sensitive position.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Licenses & Certifications: Current RN license.
• Experience: None required; prior pre/post or critical care experience preferred.

Preferred Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
• Experience: Less than 2 years in a related nursing role.
