Registered Nurse (RN) Dialysis – Shift: PRN, Varied
You will join the Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth team, working within a culture of teamwork and effective communication essential for the delivery of patient care. As a Registered Nurse in Dialysis, you will assure optimum quality patient care by serving as a resource person for other staff members, patients, and family, coordinating patient care with other departments, assisting physicians, and overseeing treatment of medical and surgical patients needing dialysis procedures.
Responsibilities
- Deliver dialysis care including assessment, problem identification, interventions, treatments, and evaluation of physical or psychological problems.
- Perform dialysis admission assessment, medication, IV therapy, administration of blood and blood products, pain control, O2 therapy, and assist physicians with Quinton procedures (e.g., dressings, catheter de‑clotting, accessing AV shunt for diagnostic tests).
- Monitor patients continuously during hemo‑replacement treatment.
- Plan and document patient care interventions, including medication administration and specimen collection.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Evaluate the assessment, planning, and intervention process.
- Demonstrate professional and personal development.
- Deliver direct patient care appropriate to adults and geriatric patients.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
- Experience: Minimum one year RN experience required, including at least six months of Hemodialysis experience.
- License: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Certifications: CPR/BCLS and ACLS certification required.
