Associate Corporate & Regulatory Compliance Manager
Element Staffing is recruiting for an Associate Corporate & Regulatory Compliance Manager for a global leader in consumer products, media, and logistics industries located in the Los Angeles area. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage high-level corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business ethics for a recognized international industry leader.
Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate and Regulatory Compliance, the Associate will ensure that all business operations and internal procedures align with state, federal, and international regulations.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Oversee business operations relating to corporate governance, privacy, information security, and industry-specific regulatory compliance.
- Independently manage assigned compliance projects to achieve goals in a timely manner.
- Build partnerships with business and functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between compliance and business strategies.
- Regularly provide legal reviews, analyses, and opinions pertaining to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Design and monitor a compliance framework and corrective action plans to remediate violations.
- Perform periodic assessments of company procedures and create proper reporting channels for compliance issues.
- Develop and lead employee training sessions on ethics and compliance topics.
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local regulators as necessary.
- Act as a key contact for product recall and withdrawal plans when warranted.
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Korean is highly preferred.
Additional Information
- Years of Experience: 3–5 years in corporate compliance, ethics, or privacy required.
- Education: Related degree in Legal Studies, Regulatory Affairs, Privacy/Information Security or another relevant field required. Preferred: JD from an accredited law school with CA Bar admission.
- Shift/Travel: Standard business hours; flexibility for special projects or weekend work as assigned.
- Requirements: Strong knowledge of consumer product and media regulations; CCEP, CIPP, or CISSP certifications highly preferred.
- Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 annually.
