About the Role
Director, Market Access Analytics and Enablement will provide strategic leadership and assume full ownership across all data analytics, enablement tools, performance measurement, and project management activities that support the Americas Market Access Team. The director will lead the proactive development and sustained execution of analytics frameworks, dashboards, and operational tools that inform decision‑making and accelerate business outcomes. They will mentor and oversee high‑quality analyses that enable evaluation of medical policy coverage, coding utilization, billing and reimbursement metrics, and overall team effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a growing team within the Americas Market Access organization, providing leadership, coaching, direction, and performance oversight, while project‑managing key initiatives from end to end to ensure timely delivery of tools and processes that enable business continuity.
- Assume full ownership of the development, refinement, and implementation of strategy for the data analytics and enablement function, including the creation of market access enablement tools, market insights/trends generation, healthcare coding analyses, pricing and fee schedule evaluations, payer coverage dashboards, team dashboards, analytics frameworks, operational tools, and utilization of AI‑based tools to inform decision‑making and accelerate business outcomes.
- Utilize Danaher Business Systems (DBS) components such as Daily Management metrics, Problem Solving Process, Bowler reporting, and Action Plan adherence.
- Drive alignment with the Value & Access function and the broader Cepheid matrix organization, influencing without authority to ensure coordinated execution of Americas Market Access initiatives and effective communication with senior and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to Americas Market Access team strategies, objectives and KPI development through proactive data‑ and analytics‑based insights generation, tool development, and business process optimization.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of related work experience OR master’s degree with 8+ years of healthcare analytics experience OR doctoral degree in field with 5+ years of work experience.
- 6+ years experience with data analytics, including creating and deploying tools and dashboards leveraging large datasets, data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake), and business analytics and data visualization platforms (SmartSheet, PowerBi, Excel).
- 6+ years of demonstrated experience in successful project management.
- Negotiation and business development skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects/products and engage effectively with cross‑functional groups and senior management.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time, including overnight.
Preferred Experience
- Healthcare coding (CPT, ICD‑10, DRG) and reimbursement mechanisms, including reimbursement rate and insurance claims databases.
- Payer decision‑making processes, reimbursement rate setting, and compliance with federal program requirements.
- Reimbursement for medical devices, particularly in‑vitro diagnostic laboratory tests.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $185,000‑$215,000. This range is the range of possible compensation at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
