Position summary Tantus, a Sikich Subsidiary, is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain modern cloud-hosted and cloud-native applications supporting mission-critical federal technology initiatives.
This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end software solutions across the front-end, middleware, back-end, API, and cloud infrastructure layers while ensuring adherence to architecture standards, security requirements, and software development best practices. The Full Stack Engineer will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions that drive mission outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise, cloud-native application development experience, and a passion for leveraging modern technologies—including AI-enabled tools—to accelerate development, testing, and deployment activities.
What will you do in this role? Be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end (front-end, middleware, back-end), cloud hosted / cloud native applications and solutions. Collaborating with federal technical and business leads to understanding business and technical requirements, problem statements, goals and objectives Taking ownership of software engineering and SDLC tasks including code repo management, Agile development practices, complying with coding and design standards, delivering unit / system tested artifacts Assist in maintaining the end-to-end cloud hosted / cloud native applications and solutions What do you need to succeed in this role?
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued Public Trust 10-20+ years of overall software, distributed systems, and cloud native system development experience Coding standards (Google JavaScript / JSON style guide, PEP 8 style guide) Practical knowledge of implementing design patterns (GOF, Others) and application architecture frameworks (micro services, event driven, three-tier, service oriented) 5-10+ years’ experience in design, development, deployment experience in APIs, API gateways, and API security technologies. 1-2+ years of using AI tools responsibly, particularly for accelerating unit and system testing SME in cloud native application architecture including serverless application designs and deployments, cloud formation or terraform scripts 5-10+ years of in-depth, hands-on experience with one or more web application frameworks and programming languages - Angular, React, Python, NodeJS, Rust Minimum of 5 years in-depth, hands-on experience with one or more cloud tech stacks, including virtual network architecture, design, implementation and management - AWS / Google (preferred), AZURE / Oracle Hands-on experience in using tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, JFrog In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $ 150 ,000-$ 170 ,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
