Remote Oracle PPM & Projects Solutions Architect
TEKsystems
Job Description
Description
We are seeking a true PPM Architect to own the architecture for Oracle Fusion Projects. This person will design solutions for complex billing scenarios, deliver functional specs for RICEF objects, and support CRP, SIT, and UAT directly with business users. Because projects are a core part of how our client operates, there are significant areas where Oracle's standard functionality falls short — this person needs to be a creative problem solver who can design around those gaps, not just identify them.
This person will serve as the functional authority for all Oracle Projects architecture decisions.
- Design and implement Oracle Cloud Fusion solutions
- Review and deliver functional specifications documentation for RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Fast Formula)
- Assist business users during CRP (Conference Room Pilots), SIT (System Integration Testing), and UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
- Design, implement, and maintain the technical architecture for Oracle Cloud Fusion solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and integration with other systems, while also providing technical leadership and mentorship
- Responsible for providing expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the overall systems architecture
- Work with product teams to guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and software
- Review, advise and design standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals
- Contribute to the road map for each system, including technical or functional obsolescence dates when known
- Assist in the development of and manage an architecture governance process
- Provide technical guidance and productivity tools to product teams
- Develop and maintain architectural assets including security requirements, principles, standards, policies, reference architectures, models, blueprints, roadmaps, frameworks, patterns and services using Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Research new technologies and demonstrate the use by developing proof of concept demonstrations
- Work closely with cloud‑native application architectures like PaaS, IaaS, microservices, containerization, serverless computing, and API design
- Develop, create awareness for, and monitor adherence to integration standards that meet operational requirements such as scalability, maintainability, security, and reliability
- Track industry trends and maintain knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise's architecture needs
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects, participate in pre‑task planning, and report any safety issues or concerns to management
- Maintain quality standards on all projects
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 10 years' relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years' relevant experience
- Eight years of applicable business or system development experience
- Experience implementing Oracle Fusion EPM
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure including Oracle Integration Cloud
- Knowledge of, and expertise in, VBCS, OTBi, BI Publisher, and OIC
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
