Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for managing the overall implementation of assigned Digital Engineering products. Leads a cross-functional team of I&C designers, architects, system engineers, and software developers through design, product selection, software development, implementation, and testing. You will work with the team to deliver a clear and descriptive set of requirements that enables the quality delivery of product features and functionality.
Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders including Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Service Owners, and Developers. The role must balance business, technical, and customer requirements to create and maintain a quality product.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Owns and manages digital/software product and system definitions, requirements, specifications, roadmap and lifecycle.
- Owns and manages the backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes features and backlog items.
- Demonstrates advanced level skills in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity in work requests/requirements to create actionable user stories/work units.
- Ensures that policies are followed, schedules are met, and risks are understood and documented.
- Lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
- Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Uses judgment and tools to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
- Possesses a deep understanding of the technology stack and impact on final product.
- Understands component and product integration across related system functions to ensure product rationalization, performance, and operability.
- Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure quality delivery within area of responsibility for both internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors and minimum of 3 years of experience with Software Business Analyst, Software Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, or Software Product Management
- OR other Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 7 years of experience with Software Business Analysis, Software Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, or Software Product Management
Desired Characteristics
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- Strong oral/written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to break down, document, analyze, and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability in project / program management skills application.
- Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering teams.
- Software development knowledge in the areas of requirements, documentation, and testing.
- Takes the initiative to learn about and analyze alternate technology and approaches to solving problems.
- Innovates and integrates new processes and/or technology to significantly add value to GE. Identifies how the cost of change weighs against the benefits and advises accordingly.
