Research/Data Analyst Team Lead

The Research/Data Analyst Team Lead is a full-time, time-limited position within the Mississippi State Department of Health's Office of STD/HIV. The position provides leadership for data management, quality assurance, performance monitoring, and analytical activities, directing the collection and analysis of STD/HIV data to support statewide planning and compliance. The incumbent supervises staff and leads development of reports and dashboards to identify trends, support quality improvement, and enable data-informed decision-making across prevention and care programs.

Key qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of related experience


• Knowledge of data analysis, data quality, and performance monitoring principles


• Ability to interpret data, identify trends and gaps, and support program planning


• Knowledge of public health reporting requirements and program monitoring processes


• Proficiency in data systems, reporting tools, and spreadsheets


• Strong organizational, communication, and supervisory skills
