About the RoleDream Hollywood is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven General Manager to lead day-to-day operations of our on-property restaurant and rooftop dining venue. This is a high-visibility leadership role at one of Hollywood's most iconic hotel destinations, known for its rooftop pool, panoramic views of the Hollywood sign, and vibrant guest experience. The GM will oversee all front- and back-of-house operations, drive revenue and guest satisfaction, and lead a diverse team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily restaurant, bar, and rooftop venue operations, ensuring smooth service across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and nightlife/event periods
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen personnel
- Partner with the Executive Chef on menu execution, food quality, and cost control
- Manage P&L responsibility, including labor costs, COGS, budgeting, and revenue targets
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations (ServSafe, RBS, LA County health codes)
- Maintain high standards of guest service, resolving escalated guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with hotel departments (events, marketing, front office) on private events, pool activations, and promotions
- Manage vendor relationships, inventory, and purchasing
- Monitor and analyze sales, guest feedback, and operational KPIs to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure the venue's brand standards and aesthetic (upscale, trend-forward, Hollywood-scene appropriate) are consistently maintained
- Support marketing and social media initiatives in partnership with hotel leadership
- 5+ years of progressive restaurant/bar management experience, including at least 2 years as a General Manager or Assistant GM in a high-volume, upscale, or hotel-affiliated venue
- Proven experience managing rooftop, pool, or nightlife-adjacent F&B operations a strong plus
- Strong financial acumen: P&L management, budgeting, labor forecasting
- Working knowledge of POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory management tools
- California Food Handler Card and RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
