We’re looking for a capable and detail-driven Revenue & Receivables Officer to join our Finance Shared Services team. This is a role where precision, accountability and collaboration matter—and where your work directly supports sustainable service delivery across the organisation.
About the role
You’ll be an integral part of a high-performing team responsible for the accurate and timely processing of revenue and receivables. This includes billing, receipting, reconciliations, debt management, and handling Refundable Accommodation Deposits and Ingoing Contributions in line with legislative requirements.
You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping standardise processes and lift performance across quality, productivity and cost.
What you’ll be doing
Revenue & Receivables Operations
- Process billing journals, credit notes and internal recharge entries with accuracy and timeliness
- Allocate and reconcile direct deposits and support receipting of payments
- Generate and distribute client account statements and invoices
- Manage credit balances, reporting and client refunds within required timeframes
- Support weekly settlement processes and direct debit adjustments
- Assist with fee change processes in line with government requirements
- Process Refundable Accommodation Deposits and Ingoing Contributions in compliance with legislation
Financial & Reporting Support
- Contribute to accurate reconciliation of revenue-related balance sheet accounts
- Maintain integrity of sub-ledger data
- Support reporting, data analysis and budgeting inputs
- Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and improve processes
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Respond to enquiries from internal stakeholders and support cross-functional teams
- Build strong working relationships across the organisation
- Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team culture
- Support continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives
What you’ll bring
- Diploma in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
- Around 3+ years’ experience in a similar finance or receivables role
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined, methodical approach
- Experience processing journals, reconciliations and high-volume transactions
- Solid understanding of revenue-related accounting processes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across a complex organisation
- Experience using ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Experience in a shared services or high-volume transaction environment
- Exposure to government funding, reporting or subsidy processes
- Experience working in a regulated environment
