Overview

A main contractor is seeking a Safety Officer to support their team on a civils project based in Blanchardstown, Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained across all site activities while promoting a positive safety culture.

Job Summary

• Deliver Health & Safety induction programmes for all new employees working on site.


• Ensure project-specific Health & Safety Plans, including Risk Assessments, are prepared prior to the commencement of works.


• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and compliance checks.


• Ensure all accidents, incidents, and near misses are reported, recorded, investigated, and appropriate corrective actions are implemented.


• Compile relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File and assist in the preparation and delivery of Toolbox Talks and site inductions.


• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant third-level qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline.


• Previous experience working on civil engineering or civils infrastructure projects.


• Strong quality assurance and auditing experience.


• Excellent ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and database systems.


• Full driver's licence and willingness to travel.
