Founding Sales Lead
Location: Chennai (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-time
Working Hours: US hours (afternoon into evening IST)
We build AI software that automates accounts payable and procurement for finance teams.
Our product is gaining traction, and we're looking for one of our first sales hires to join us at an exciting stage. You'll work closely with the founders, speak with finance leaders in the US, and play an important role in helping us grow. As an early team member, you'll have the opportunity to influence how we sell, how we engage customers, and how we build our sales function from the ground up.
What you'll do
- Take warm leads and run the first real conversation: discovery, then demo.
- Run demos for finance teams at mid-market companies.
- Qualify prospects honestly and identify fit early.
- Own the follow-up and keep the deal moving from the first call to signed contract, with the founders' support.
- Help the lead generation team improve by sharing feedback on what's working and what isn't.
- Keep your pipeline clean. Log conversations, set the next step before every call ends, and don't let warm leads go cold.
What we're looking for
- 3–6 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with at least 2 years running your own discovery calls and product demos.
- Experience selling into the US or other international markets.
- Strong spoken and written English. You'll be speaking with senior finance leaders regularly.
- A consultative sales approach—you listen first and understand customer problems before proposing solutions.
- Familiarity with finance or procurement is a plus, or the willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to work US hours from India and travel for customer meetings, conferences, and events when needed.
- A valid US B1/B2 visa is a strong advantage.
