SAP BTP Team Lead

As Officeworks scales its digital ecosystem, this role is critical to solve the challenge of enabling secure, scalable, and innovative cloud use while practicing the SAP clean core. This role defines and governs the SAP BTP, integration, and extensibility strategy, allowing for side-by-side development that supports business growth. This role also owns the enterprise integration architecture and ensures that modern cloud services meet high-performance and innovation objectives.

In this role you will:

Platform Strategy Development:

• Define and govern the SAP BTP, integration and extensibility strategy.
• Enterprise ownership of the BTP reference architecture.
• Oversee BTP services and make critical cloud design decisions.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise performance, scalability, and innovation objectives.
• Resolve complex challenges related to integration, scalability, and cloud architecture.

Governance & Compliance:

• Maintain API, event, and integration governance across the landscape.
• Drive compliance with API standards and integration patterns.
• Integrate compliance requirements into business practices and planning.
• Conduct all tasks in accordance with all applicable laws.

Delivery and Operations:

• Manage performance against key metrics to ensure high levels of integration success and BTP availability.
• Monitor cloud costs to ensure financial variance remains within established enterprise tolerances.
• Coach and develop the team to ensure the function retains appropriately qualified expertise.

Who you will be working with:

• Internal Leadership: SAP Platform Owner, C-Suite, and various Heads of departments.
• Internal Peer Architects: SAP Solution Architect and SAP Operations Manager.
• Internal Technical Teams: Enterprise Architects, Cybersecurity and IAM Teams, DevOps Teams, PMO, Developers, and Data teams.
• External Partners: SAP, Cloud Service Providers, and Integration and API Vendors.

What success looks like:

• Technical Excellence: Integration Success Rate > 99.5% and BTP Availability > 99.9%.
• Standardization: API Standard Compliance > 95%.
• Fiscal Responsibility: Cloud Cost Variance maintained within 5%.
• Safety & Compliance: Accountable for a safe site every day by implementing safe work practices and managing safety issues.

Qualifications and work experience:

Essential:

• Education: Bachelors degree in I.T. or Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of SAP cloud and integration architecture experience.
• Specialist Skills: Expertise in API design and cloud security architecture.
• Mindset: Analytical and strategic mindset.
• Technology Proficiency: SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, API Management, Event Mesh, SAP Cloud ALM / Solution Manager, LeanIX, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD Toolchains.

Preferred:

• Certification: Cloud certification preferred.
