Your Role We are looking for a Security Engineer – Hybrid Infrastructure and Security Awareness to strengthen our global Security function and support WirelessCar’s continued journey toward secure and sustainable operations.
In this role, you will combine hands-on security engineering with stakeholder collaboration and security awareness initiatives across the organization. You will work closely with internal IT teams, security specialists, and business stakeholders to improve security hygiene, strengthen operational security capabilities, and support secure ways of working throughout the company. You will become part of our Central Security function , operating within a mature and collaborative security organization where trust, ownership, and continuous improvement are central parts of the culture.
What you'll do As a Security Engineer, you will contribute both operationally and strategically across several security domains. Here’s what you’ll be responsible for: Act as an active member of the Central Security function , contributing to daily operations and long-term security initiatives. Participate in stand-ups, planning activities, and coordinated execution together with the security team.
Drive and take ownership of assigned security initiatives from planning through implementation and follow-up. Support stakeholders across the organization in matters related to security awareness, security hygiene, and secure operational practices. Work hands-on with security-related tools, configurations, operational improvements, and technical implementations within the internal IT and security environment.
Create, maintain, and improve security-related documentation, including operational procedures, technical configurations, security guidelines, incident response playbooks, knowledge articles, and process documentation to support secure and scalable operations. Collaborate closely with internal IT teams to define, review, and improve security requirements and implementations connected to hybrid infrastructure and internal services. Contribute to extending and strengthening WirelessCar’s security baseline across the broader ecosystem, including suppliers, partners, and externally integrated services.
Contribute to strengthening WirelessCar’s overall security culture through awareness activities, communication, and practical support to employees and teams. About the Team and Context You will join a mature and well-established Security function consisting of approximately 17 security professionals divided into two teams: GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) and DART (Detect and Respond Team). Additionally, we expect you to have: 8+years of experience within information security, security engineering, infrastructure security, or related enterprise security domains Hands-on experience working with operational and engineering-oriented security activities Experience working with hybrid infrastructure and enterprise security environments Experience collaborating with infrastructure, Digital Workplace, or internal IT teams Knowledge within areas such as: Network security Endpoint/client security Identity and access management Active Directory & Entra ID Enterprise security controls Azure & AWS cloud services Conditional Access Microsoft Purview / Data Loss Prevention Experience coordinating or contributing to security awareness, communication, or educational initiatives Ability to independently drive initiatives and coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Nice to have Experience from global or cross-cultural organizations Experience working in mature security organizations or security operations environments Security-related certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or equivalent Experience with Microsoft enterprise security platforms Experience with SIEM/SOC-related tooling or infrastructure hardening Experience from automotive, SaaS, connected services, or enterprise technology environments Knowledge related to organizational change management or awareness programs To join our journey WirelessCar is always on the move, often into uncharted land.
