Academic Qualifications
- Post-Graduate (Required): Master’s Degree such as an MBA, or Post-Graduate degree in Management / Economics / Finance.
- Undergraduate (Preferred/Recommended): Bachelor’s Degree in Gaming Systems and Design / Computer Sciences / Tech / Engineering or related technical areas.
About the Center & Role
The TMT Center's primary goals are to:
- Assess opportunities and challenges facing companies across the global TMT industry landscape.
- Provide practical, actionable insights spanning strategic, technical, and operational domains.
- Convene diverse stakeholders to address critical issues impacting the health and evolution of the industry.
- Leverage leading practices from TMT professionals across disciplines (content strategy, digital distribution, advertising/monetization, consumer analytics, rights management, finance, risk, and human capital) to uncover innovative solutions.
The Role's Impact
This role involves contributing to thought leadership and research projects across the entire lifecycle (from design to delivery). You will examine critical challenges and opportunities in the Media & Entertainment (M&E) sector, with a heavy focus on the Entertainment and Sports sub-sectors.
Outputs include whitepapers, in-depth research reports, case studies, articles, data-based research tools, client presentations, and custom account collateral. These deliverables integrate primary and secondary sources, including internal subject-matter experts, proprietary surveys, publicly available data, analyst reports, and industry commentaries.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Analyst focused on developing world-class thought leadership, you will:
- Synthesize Complex Info: Work across diverse M&E topics, quickly building subject-matter familiarity to deliver high-quality research insights.
- Maintain Sector Expertise: Proactively track M&E technologies, business models, financial drivers, market trends, and potential disruptions.
- Identify Novel Trends: Spot unique topics and market shifts by extensively analyzing competitor thoughtware and market studies.
- Design & Execute Research: Formulate structured research plans, translate business objectives into clear investigation questions, and conduct thorough secondary research.
- Collaborate Globally: Interact with internal/external experts to shape narratives, and liaison closely with U.S. colleagues to manage project expectations and priorities.
- Drive Data Insights: Work on voluminous and complex datasets (including surveys) using data analysis and visualization tools to derive actionable insights.
- Deliver Client-Ready Content: Assist senior researchers with internal briefings and client meeting decks by turning custom data into compelling visual narratives.
- Leverage AI Responsibly: Apply critical thinking and sound judgment to ground your research, while utilizing Generative AI tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Requisite Experience & Skills
Core Experience
- 3–6 years managing or supporting research projects, specifically focused on the Media & Entertainment industry.
- Proven experience working with U.S. or global clients/teams, requiring strong cross-cultural collaboration skills.
Industry & Sector Skills
- M&E Thought Leadership: Strong background in business research development tailored to media and entertainment.
- Entertainment Ecosystems: Deep understanding of streaming models, direct-to-consumer (DTC) shifts, content monetization, and changing audience consumption patterns.
- Sports Business Models: Familiarity with media rights, distribution frameworks, fan engagement strategies, and digital platform consumption.
- Market Sensing: Awareness of leading U.S. players (studios, streamers, leagues, teams) and how emerging technologies like Generative AI disrupt their value chains.
