Your area of work:
As an HR Generalist in our newly established GCC in Hyderabad, you will be instrumental in establishing and delivering essential HR services. Your focus will be on supporting the full employee lifecycle and helping to build out local HR operations tailored for India. This versatile role within a small, dynamic team involves close collaboration with the local Head of HR to directly shape our foundational HR framework and cultivate a positive work culture from the ground up.
Your responsibilities:
HR Operations & Employee Support:
- Manage the full employee life cycle, including onboarding processes, contract management, personnel data administration, and offboarding procedures.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees in India regarding HR-related questions, focusing Internal JOB DESCRIPTION on areas such as benefits administration, leave policies (e.g., maternity/parental leave), and other employee inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our HR systems (including SAP SuccessFactors). Compliance & Payroll Support:
- Initiate, support, and ensure compliance with Indian local regulations, including labor laws and social security requirements.
- Support pre- and post-payroll activities, coordinating with the Head of HR, India, and any relevant payroll specialists including external vendors. Collaboration & Project Support:
- Collaborate closely with the Head of HR, India, and other functional teams in HR (regionally or globally, as applicable) to provide service excellence to our employees in India.
- Assist in the setup and transition of HR processes and systems for the new GCC in Hyderabad.
- Actively contributes to the development and implementation of global and local HR initiatives and digital solutions.
- Continuously seek to improve and develop operational procedures relating to HR support for employees in India.
- Assist with recruitment coordination, new hire orientation, and general HR administrative tasks crucial for a start-up phase.
- Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities.
Your profile:
- Educational Qualifications: Completed a university degree or similar qualification, with a focus on Human Resources.
- Years of Experience: Ideally 5+ years of relevant work experience as an HR Generalist, preferably including experience in a GCC.
- A good understanding and practical knowledge of Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
- A high level of commitment, motivation, and a pronounced customer-oriented approach.
- The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
- A proactive, hands-on, and versatile approach, with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks to support the successful establishment and growth of the new office.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and proficiency in MS Office is desirable.
- Digital-first mindset with strong adaptability to changing environments and emerging technologies.
- Proven team player with strong flexibility, creativity, analytical thinking, accountability, resilience, and reliability. o Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
