\nOptio6 Talent Partners has partnered with a highly regarded, multi‑award‑winning Gold Coast law firm to appoint an experienced Senior Family Lawyer. The position is flexible, open to Senior Associate, Special Counsel or Partner level depending on your experience, capability, client relationships and long‑term ambitions.

\nYou will join a high‑performing family law practice in a contemporary office in a central Gold Coast location, only minutes from the beach.
The opportunity\nYou will manage a varied portfolio of sophisticated family law matters while contributing to the continued strength and development of the practice.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Managing complex property, parenting, children’s and divorce matters from initial advice through to resolution \n
- Advising clients on high‑value property settlements, business interests, trusts, companies and complex financial structures \n
- Drafting court documents, agreements, advices and strategic correspondence \n
- Appearing in court and representing clients at mediations, conferences and settlement negotiations \n
- Providing clear, commercially considered and empathetic advice \n
- Supervising, mentoring and delegating work to junior family lawyers \n
- Building trusted client and referral relationships \n
- Contributing to the growth and future direction of the family law practice \n

- Minimum of five years’ post‑admission experience in family law \n
- Strong experience across complex property, parenting, children’s and divorce matters \n
- Ability to manage matters autonomously and exercise sound professional judgement \n
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, advocacy and communication skills \n
- Confidence to manage client expectations during sensitive and highly personal matters \n
- Commercial awareness and understanding of complex business and financial structures \n
- Ability to supervise or mentor junior lawyers, where appropriate \n
- Collaborative approach and genuine commitment to contributing to the wider team \n
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities \n
