Our client seeks a Senior Business Analyst who will establish and maintain standards for systems analysis, requirements gathering, and project artifact development. The role includes setting vendor management standards, analyzing new business system development, and improving existing business processes to maximize business value delivery through application development. The analyst will partner with senior business and IT leadership to assist in project prioritization and will participate across the full project lifecycle to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.

Responsibilities
- Perform workflow analysis, create workflow diagrams, and recommend procedural improvements while articulating current state and future state of systems.
- Prepare Impact Analysis documentation with project teams for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
- Establish and maintain approaches, methods, procedures, and standards for analyzing operational and enterprise applications, demonstrating methods that shorten development life cycles, reduce rework, and improve purchased and developed solutions.
- Develop and guide team members in requirements elicitation, analysis, and functional specification activities for complex projects or programs, and maintain training materials for business analysts and programmers.
- Engage across the project lifecycle from initiation to closing to ensure the technical solution meets business needs, advance business analysis competencies and standards, and act as SME for eCommerce applications.
- Coordinate with Development, QA, UAT, and Infrastructure support to develop resource allocation plans for IT projects.
- Ensure compliance with standards and practices to improve deliverable quality.
- Collect and analyze metrics to lead continuous improvement of Business Analysis processes.
Experience Requirements
- 15 years of software development including Business Analysis experience on IT-centric projects.
- 10 years of Business Analysis experience in Property and Casualty Insurance.
- Detailed understanding of Policy Admin, eCommerce, Billing, Claims, and financial applications, including third-party integrations such as LexisNexis Prefill, CREDIT, MRV, and CLUE.
- Experience with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager.
- Strong understanding of web services and APIs; familiarity with SQL, XML, HTML, XSLT, and JSON; experience with tools such as Postman, REST API, and SOAP UI.
- Ability to apply disciplined analysis approaches including object and entity-relationship modeling and state-transition diagramming for custom applications.
- Ability to support digital capabilities, including development of interactive web-based applications.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical capability with strategic problem-solving and solution recommendation.
- Data management experience with database knowledge preferred, including MS SQL.
- Project Management or related certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Visio for wireframes and workflows.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- INS and CPCU certifications are highly desirable.
- IIBA CBAP and AAC certifications are a plus.
