Senior Cost Accountant (Hiring Immediately)

3+ Years’ experience in Accounting / Plant Accounting

Venteon is hiring a Senior Cost Accountant / Plant Accountant to join an industry leader and employer of choice!

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical accounting professional to play a key role in supporting plant operations and driving overall financial performance. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in cost and inventory accounting while partnering closely with leadership to influence business decisions.

What You’ll Do

Provide financial support to the Plant Controller, General Manager, CFO, and plant teams

Serve as the go-to expert on cost accounting and inventory transactions

Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts related to cost of goods sold and inventory

Analyze cost structures, profitability, and financial performance

Manage and maintain standard costs within the ERP system

Perform month-end close activities, including variance analysis for COGS and inventory

Prepare financial statements, reports, and audit schedules

Support internal and external audits and corporate reporting requirements

Collaborate cross-functionally, including engineering, operations, and shipping

Drive process improvements and support special projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

3+ years of accounting experience, including plant or cost accounting

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Experience analyzing complex data and driving actionable insights

Strong relationship-building skills across multiple functions
