Senior Electrical Engineer

Project Execution & Site Supervision

Installation Supervision: Oversee the erection and installation of electrical equipment, including transformers, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), MCC panels, cabling, and earthing systems.

Drawing Interpretation: Interpret and execute work based on Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Cable Schedules, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.

Site Coordination: Coordinate electrical work with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to avoid interdisciplinary conflicts, particularly with pump and blower installations.

Testing & Commissioning

Pre-commissioning Checks: Conduct no-load and load tests, cable insulation tests, and continuity tests.

Start-up & Commissioning: Execute start-up of pumps, dosing systems. Ensure proper motor rotation and functional operation of field interlocks in PLC controls.

Instrumentation Setup: Perform I/O checks, loop testing, and calibration of field instruments (flow meters, level sensors, pH sensors).

Maintenance & Operational Support

Breakdown Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve onsite electrical issues during the construction and commissioning phases.

Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine servicing of motors, panels, and automatic control systems.

Safety Adherence: Ensure 100% compliance with electrical safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and site PPE requirements.

Daily Reports: Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR), material reconciliation.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E/B.Tech) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience in site execution, preferably within WTP, STP (Sewage Treatment Plant), or ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) projects.

Work Location – South Africa

Tenure – 3 to 6 months

CTC – 6lac to 8lac depending on experience.
