Position: Senior Faculty – Visual Merchandising & Fashion Retail
\nDepartment: Retail & Exhibition Design

\nAbout the Role:
\nWe are seeking an experienced Visual Merchandising professional with a strong background in
\nfashion and lifestyle retail to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will bring industry expertise in creating compelling retail experiences, visual storytelling, customer engagement, and
\nbrand communication. The candidate should be passionate about mentoring future retail designers while bridging industry practices with academic learning.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n1) Teaching & Learning
\n• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Retail,
\nBrand Experience, and Customer Experience Design.
\n• Conduct studio sessions, workshops, and seminars on retail display, spatial branding, and
\nretail communication.
\n• Mentor students in live industry projects, internships, portfolios, and graduation projects.
\n2) Curriculum Development
\n• Develop and update courses aligned with evolving retail and fashion industry trends.
\n• Introduce experiential learning methods, case studies, and interdisciplinary projects.
\n3) Industry Collaboration
\n• Build partnerships with fashion brands, retailers, VM agencies, and lifestyle organizations.
\n• Organize industry visits, guest lectures, workshops, and collaborative projects.
\n• Facilitate internships and placement opportunities.
\n4) Research & Innovation
\n• Conduct research in visual merchandising, consumer behaviour, retail branding, and
\ncustomer experience.
\n• Publish papers, case studies, and industry reports.
\n5) Academic Administration
\n• Participate in curriculum planning, admissions, student assessments, and departmental
\nactivities.
\n• Contribute to NAAC/IQAC documentation, accreditation processes, quality assurance, and
\ninstitutional development initiatives.
\nRequired Qualifications:
\n• Master's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, Visual Merchandising, Retail
\nDesign, Lifestyle Accessory Design, Interior Design, or related disciplines.
\n• Candidates from premier institutions such as National Institute of Fashion Technology
\n(NIFT), NID, or other reputed design schools are encouraged to apply.
\n• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant industry and/or academic experience.
\n• Strong portfolio demonstrating retail displays, store environments, and brand experience
\nprojects.
