W2 Contract through EOY + long term extension

Shift: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm + after hours support as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on break/fix support and diagnostics, as part of a larger Infrastructure Operations team, including the provisioning of new resources, managing after-hours maintenance to production hardware, as well as assisting in both performing penetration testing and with rapid remediation efforts of any findings, with a understood sense of urgency.
• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required
• Racking and stacking servers, installing software and OS on servers, and cabling
• Manage Hyper-V and VMware environments, including implementation.
• Handle server and workstation operating systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and patch management.
• Perform system performance monitoring and optimization.
• Provide disaster recovery, backup, and restore capabilities for systems and applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working within a data center environment
• Experience with VMware and Hyper-V (Server 2019 or 2022)
• Data center automation experience is nice to have not but not required
• Prior professional experience with bare-metal Windows Server installation, management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, in a datacenter environment.
• Familiarity with security best practices and common compliance standards at a high-level.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills required.
• Implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex environments.
