Job Description:
The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that reduce cost, strengthen supply‑chain resiliency, and mitigate operational, geopolitical, and material‑specific risks. This role leads cross-functional sourcing initiatives, manages strategic supplier relationships, and ensures alignment with business objectives across a decentralized operating model. A key focus of this position includes partnering with Engineering and Operations to define and operationalize enterprise strategies for Country‑of‑Origin (COO) and rare‑earth‑element (REE) risk mitigation.
The Strategic Sourcing Sr. Manager functions as a critical liaison across sectors, driving consistent sourcing execution, supplier performance, and long-term value creation.

Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key categories to reduce cost, improve service, and mitigate risk
- Analyze spend, market trends, and supplier landscapes to identify sourcing opportunities
- Lead the COO & REE initiative, partnering with functional leaders to design and implement scalable processes for identifying, assessing, and mitigating COO and rare‑earth‑element risks
- Strengthen enterprise supply‑chain resiliency by defining sourcing strategies for high-risk areas
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Quality, Engineering, Legal, etc.) to align sourcing strategies with business requirements and priorities
- Drive cost‑reduction, value‑engineering, and design for supply chain initiatives
- Identify and mitigate supply, geopolitical, quality, and financial risks within the supply base
- Support forecasting and capacity‑planning tool development to enhance operational planning, supplier alignment, and risk mitigation
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence without direct authority
- Ability to manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of supply‑chain risk, total cost of ownership, and supplier performance management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. xhmxlyz Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
- Experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, procurement, or supplier management
- Experience conducting spend analysis, market research, or supplier assessments
