Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for 8 to 10 years of senior-level mechanical design leader who can independently drive hardware product development from concept to mass production, especially for rugged, outdoor IoT devices. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in manufacturing processes like injection molding and sheet metal, along with DFM expertise and IP-rated enclosure design. Leadership experience, vendor coordination, and ability to deliver certification-ready products (ATEX/CE/ISO) are critical.

This is not a pure design role—it requires ownership, execution speed, and production mindset.

Must-Have Skills:

• Education (Mandatory) B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Product Design (acceptable)
• 8 to 10 years in Mechanical Product Design (Hardware Products)
• End-to-end Product Development Lifecycle (Concept → Production → Manufacturing)
• Experience in Industrial / Outdoor / Rugged Product Design
• Mechanical Product Design (Hardware / IoT Devices)
• Injection Molding + Sheet Metal + Die Casting
• DFM (Design for Manufacturing) / DFA
• IP67 / IP68 Enclosure Design (Rugged Products)
• SolidWorks / 3D CAD Modeling
• 2D Drawing Validation & GD&T / Tolerancing
• Manufacturing Processes & Material Selection
• Design Reviews + Risk Analysis + Problem Solving
• Vendor Management & Production Coordination
• Certification Exposure (ATEX / CE / ISO)

Important Considerations:

• Experience leading or mentoring team (important)
• Exposure to certification standards (ATEX/CE/ISO)

• Only design theory experience (no production exposure)
• No DFM / manufacturing involvement
• Pure CAD operator / drafting role
• No exposure to injection molding or sheet metal
• No experience in hardware products
