The Network Engineer will work as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining the United States Air Force Test Operations efforts at AEDC.This position requires occasional scheduled extended hours and/or weekend work to meet critical contractual requirements and occasional unscheduled night or weekend support in emergency situations. Job SummaryThe individual hired for this position will function as a Senior Network Engineer supporting test operations, system/maintenance engineering, and/or design engineering for computer networks used for real-time data acquisition systems and/or facility control systems in one or more of the various AEDC test facilities.

The networks involved are critical to ensuring facility data acquisition and control systems are available and adequate to meet test mission requirements. Core responsibilities of this role include providing the engineering support required for the design, configuration, cyber security configuration and maintenance of these critical test facility networks.Job Duties: Network Engineers at AEDC are critical to the execution of the test mission. Specifically, duties for this position include: Architect, implement, and manage complex network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performanceLead the development of network system requirements, including the preparation of engineering studies, reports, and design calculationsConfigure network systems to meet and exceed DoD cybersecurity requirements and protocols.Provide critical support for test facility network systems, both in preparation for and during active operationsDevelop and execute system verification and validation test plans to ensure network integrity and performanceOversee the full lifecycle of network hardware and software, from evaluation and procurement to system maintenance and decommissioningDrive the automation of network tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventionAct as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting complex network outages and performance issues to minimize downtimeMentor and provide technical leadership to other engineering staff, establishing best practices and common work processesDevelop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network architecture, including concept sketches, layouts, and material estimatesIt is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy Perform other related duties as requiredBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree focusing in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering10 years of experienceIn lieu of Bachelor’s degree 14 years of experience in Network Engineering Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and access to DoD network and computer systemsCurrent U.

S. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount BNH is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
