Job Description
We are seeking aSeniorProduct Manager (SPM)to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of ourDigitalwebplatforms. We're looking to bring on a strategic, mobile first thinker with a bias for action.
This role sits at the intersection ofproduct strategy, engineering, and customer experience, owning the end-to-end product lifecycle—from vision and roadmap through delivery and continuous improvement. TheSPM will translate business and customer needs into scalable, secure, and high-performing digital experiences across web channels.
This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule, working from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap fortheeCommerce platform (browse, cart, checkout, payments,post-enrollment)
- Balance customer experience, business goals, and technical feasibility in prioritization decisions
- Work closely withstakeholdersto identify opportunities to improve conversionand retention
Customer Experience & Features
- Work closely with thestakeholdersto design and evolve key customer journeys acrosstheweb:
- Search anddiscovery
- Quote andconversion
- Checkout andpayment
- Accountmanagement
- Insuranceclaim submission
Product Ownership
- Work with businessand technologyleaders tocapture business requirements.Translate business requirements into detailedproductspecifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Partner with engineering to make informed trade-offs on architecture, scalability, and performance
- Manageintegrations across systems (payments, identity, CRM, third-party services, other internal systems)
- Ensure reliability, security, and compliance of account and transaction flows
Execution & Delivery
- Lead cross-functional collaboration acrossUX,engineering, QA, marketing, and operations
- Work with business leaders to prioritize the backlog
- Accountable forbacklog, sprint planning, andforall team ceremonies
- Deliver features on time with high quality and measurable outcomes
Data, Metrics & Optimization
- Define and trackkey businessKPIs, and prioritize and drive improvements
- Ongoing support of delivered features with continuous optimizations and improvement of quality metricsPartner withgrowth and retentionteamsto supportexperimentation (A/B testing) and analytics to drive continuous improvement
- Monitor product performance and identify areas for optimizationand generate reports to stakeholders
Stakeholder Management
- Align stakeholders across business and technologyteams
- Communicate roadmap, priorities, and progress to executive leadershipand stakeholders
- Act as the voice of the customer and the business withintechnologyteams
- Partner with Engineering and IT leadership on team health, velocity, qualityand performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree inBusiness, Marketing, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years ofdemonstratedproduct management experiencein a fast-paced technology industry
- Experience working in highly regulatedtechnologyindustries
- Familiarity withcloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with customer identity platforms (OAuth, SSO, CIAM)
- Experience with SOX Compliance
- Strong analytical skills with SQL, analytics tools, or experimentation platforms
Skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate complexbusinessconcepts into clearfunctional and non-functional requirements
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and communication.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical partners.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and system integrations as well as identity and account management systems and payment processing and checkout flows
- Deep experienceworking inAgile/Scrum environments
- Background in subscription models or recurring billing
- Experiencewith native mobile development environments (Swift, Kotlin) or close collaboration with mobile engineering teams
Compensation
- The pay range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000, on a full-time schedule.
- Along with base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
- We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion’s success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
