Senior Production Engineer

Ensure the availability and proper operation of infrastructures and applications in Cloud, on-premise or hybrid environments
Carry out RUN activities: MCO (operational maintenance), operations support, N2/N3 administration, management of deployments and task automation
Ensure the correct operation and production of IT resources
Ensure and optimize the industrialization of production processes
Maintain infrastructures in operational condition in compliance with standards, performance and security requirements
Contribute to defining the business continuity / disaster recovery plan (PRA)
Provide technical support and real-time monitoring of systems and applications
Participate in continuous improvement and assess the risks and impacts of changes
Anticipate IT needs and propose improvements
Apply and enforce security rules and policies
Provide support to Administrators / Analysts
Participate in study projects and take ownership of a portfolio of projects
Analyze, recommend and validate technical solutions
Organize and coordinate integration work for changes and upgrades
Provide technical input to project planning and risk management
Act as level-3 escalation for complex incidents
Work outside normal hours for complex scheduled operations
Keep up with technological developments
Write technical documentation

Requirements

• Higher education degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Several years of experience in production engineering
• Autonomous with the ability to be proactive and propose improvements within their area
• Ability to own a complete area (infrastructure, application or DBMS) to ensure operational maintenance (MCO)
• Occasional availability to work outside normal hours (HNO)
• Availability to join a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Network and systems skills, particularly Linux and Unix
• Strong expertise in RabbitMQ
• Experience with monitoring tools; Xymon is a plus
• Database skills: Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.
• Familiarity with DevOps technologies: Docker, Ansible, GitLab CI
• Team player, flexible, able to operate under constraints and manage stress
• An in-person interview is mandatory
