Senior Project Engineer

Senior Project Engineer A leading Irish Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their growing team in Galway. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of high-profile commercial, industrial, and educational construction projects while progressing your career with one of Ireland's most established contractors. Duties & Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all site engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Oversee and mentor Site Engineers and Junior Engineers on site. Carry out and supervise setting out and surveying using Total Stations and GPS equipment. Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Liaise with the Project Manager, Site Manager, design team, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues. Monitor project progress and assist in maintaining construction programmes. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.

Maintain accurate site records, QA documentation, and as-built drawings. Attend site meetings and contribute to project planning and coordination. Support the successful delivery of projects to programme, budget, and quality standards.

Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Site Engineer with a Main Contractor. Commercial construction experience is desirable.

Strong setting out and surveying experience. Proficient in the use of Total Stations, GPS equipment, and construction drawings. Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations and quality procedures.

Excellent communication and organisational skills. Full clean driving licence. Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates.

Ability to work full-time on site.
