Senior Research Associate

- Independently conduct activities including experiment design, planning, and execution; report processing, interpretation, review, and documentation of experimental results - Contribute to studies that evaluate and rank lead T cell engager proteins for their biological effectiveness, focusing on key parameters such as potency, safety, and specificity. - Propose, optimize, and integrate existing and new technologies and assays to deliver improved assay workflow and readouts. - Culture and maintain primary human T cells, healthy cells, and multiple tumor cell lines. Integrate diverse cell populations into functional assays that support R&D. - Design, develop and optimize automated workflows to support high-throughput cell-based assays and molecular biology workflows. - Support IND-enabling studies, including assay development, data generation, and documentation aligned with regulatory standards to advance therapeutic candidates through early development stages. - Program and operate laboratory automation platforms, including Hamilton Liquid handling robots and other high-throughput instruments. - Educate and train end users on automated methods, ensuring seamless adaptation and scalability of workflows. - Collaborate with scientists to evaluate assay requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions tailored to their specific needs. - Collaborate effectively within the Applied Immunology and Discovery Immunology teams as well as the Protein Engineering team to advance research initiatives and contribute to the development of novel immune therapeutics. - Support general lab operations with reagent preparation, instrument maintenance, and adherence to lab safety procedures. - Maintain and implement good laboratory practices, including accurate electronic laboratory notebook entries, instrument and reagent validation, and personnel safety precautions. - Use strong verbal and written communication skills to share scientific and project updates with the inter-disciplinary research team. REQUIREMENTS: Education: U.S.

Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related biological science field. Experience: Two years of experience as a Research Associate or similar laboratory-based role in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. Experience must include two years with each of the following: - Propagation and banking of tumor cell lines - Flow cytometry using panels of >10 colors - T cell functional assays - Gene modification approaches including nucleic acid transfection techniques - Dendritic cell and T cell co-culture for the expansion of antigen-reactive sub-populations - Cytokine release assays - Programming, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated liquid handling platforms - Methods of T cell culture to drive reactivity, phenotype, and yield - Mass spectrometry sample preparation HOW TO APPLY: Send resume to . com with subject 951-REPR.
