Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications. You will play a key role in architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality software solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust web applications using Ruby on RailsLead technical architecture and system design decisionsWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practicesOptimize application performance, scalability, and securityCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineersConduct code reviews and provide constructive feedbackMentor and guide junior and mid-level developersIntegrate third-party APIs and servicesTroubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systemsParticipate in Agile/Scrum development processesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of professional software development experience3+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on RailsStrong knowledge of Ruby, object-oriented programming, and design patternsExperience with RESTful APIs and web servicesProficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQLFamiliarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Knowledge of containerization tools like DockerFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelinesExperience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js)Understanding of microservices architecturePrior experience in a leadership or mentoring role About Kawan Lama GroupEstablished in 1955, Kawan Lama Group is a multi-sector group of companies who are constantly innovating for improving the quality of lives.
