Senior Software Engineer (SWE-3)

Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in our Intel Sector to develop custom analytics solutions at scale, collaborating with data scientists and end users to deliver operational data science tools.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Mission Focus: Work directly with data scientists and mission analysts to solve demanding strategic problems; perform end‑to‑end software engineering to prototype, develop, integrate, test, and deploy tools and trade‑craft into the customer’s corporate architecture.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Java MapReduce, Python PySpark, statistical analysis, machine learning fundamentals, and big data tools; proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Gitlab; experience with Agile methodologies.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree plus eleven (11) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Security Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Desirable Skills: Experience with software development processes (requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment, maintenance) and programming; experience with Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Large Language Models.
