Senior Technical Recruiter
People In Power
Job Description
About the Company
People in Power is a specialist recruitment consultancy operating across the Transmission & Distribution and wider power infrastructure market throughout the UK and Europe. We work very differently from a traditional recruitment agency. Rather than simply filling vacancies, we work directly with Directors and senior leadership teams across leading EPCs and ICPs, providing consultative advice and strategic recruitment support around growth, project delivery, succession planning and future skills requirements.
About the Role
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join People in Power. You'll have access to our existing client relationships and live requirements from day one, while having the autonomy to carve out your own niche and build a client base of your own. We're not looking to dictate what your desk should look like.
If you identify an opportunity within T&D or the wider power, energy and infrastructure market, we'll support you in developing it. You'll be joining an established specialist business while still having the freedom to build something of your own within it.
Responsibilities
- Working directly with Directors and senior decision-makers across EPCs and ICPs
- Supporting and developing existing People in Power clients
- Building your own specialist niche and client portfolio
- Providing consultative recruitment and market advice
- Understanding clients' growth plans, project pipelines and future resource needs
- Building long-term relationships with senior and specialist candidates
- Managing permanent and/or contract recruitment assignments
- Identifying new clients, projects and commercial opportunities
Required Skills
- Proven experience within the T & D market
- An experienced 360 recruiter with a strong track record
- Commercially minded and confident developing business
- Comfortable dealing with Director-level stakeholders
- Credible, consultative and relationship-led
- Capable of working autonomously
- Ambitious and motivated by building your own market
- More interested in becoming a genuine industry specialist than transactional recruitment
Pay range and compensation package
Excellent basic salary + uncapped commission
Equal Opportunity Statement
We’re building a specialist consultancy, not a high-volume recruitment agency. You’ll benefit from existing senior-level clients and live requirements, freedom to develop your own niche and client base, direct support from the Managing Director, leading recruitment, sourcing and AI technology, autonomy and flexibility, and significant opportunity to progress as the business grows.
Location
For the right experienced individual, we’re happy to offer remote working anywhere in the UK, with approximately monthly travel to our Surrey office. If you’re commutable to Surrey, the role can also be office-based or hybrid.
Interested?
If you’re an experienced recruiter looking for more autonomy, stronger client relationships and the opportunity to build your own market within a growing specialist consultancy, we’d love to hear from you. Contact People in Power for a confidential conversation.
