As part of the international DIS/CREADIS Group, our Chennai team supports projects across Europe, North America, and Asia - delivering specialized engineering solutions throughout the wind turbine lifecycle, from concept development and certification to operational optimization and site-specific engineering.
We are now looking for a Senior Wind Turbine Loads Engineer to strengthen our Loads & Controls team.
The RoleIn this customer-facing consulting role, you will work closely with both customer engineering teams and CREADIS colleagues on technically complex wind turbine development projects.You will take ownership of aero-servo-elastic simulations, loads assessments, and engineering analyses that support turbine design, certification, and optimization activities. The role combines deep technical work with collaboration across international engineering environments.
Your ResponsibilitiesPerform aero-servo-elastic simulations for wind turbine loads assessment Deliver loads calculations, stability analyses, power performance simulations, and control optimization studies Manage complete simulation workflows including model setup, execution, and post-processing Support subsystem design teams across blades, towers, drivetrain, structures, and controls Participate in technical reviews and communicate engineering findings and recommendations clearly to customers and stakeholders Support certification and verification activities, including preparation of technical documentation Contribute to site-specific loads assessments and turbine optimization for improved LCoE performance Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering methods and tools
Your BackgroundWe imagine you have a strong technical foundation combined with experience from the wind industry and the ability to work independently in an international environment.
You likely bring:A Master's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline 3+ years of experience within Loads & Controls engineering from a wind turbine OEM or engineering consultancy Strong understanding of wind turbine aerodynamics, structural dynamics, and turbine controls Experience with aero-elastic simulation tools such as HAWC2, Bladed, OpenFAST, or Flex5 Experience with scripting and data analysis using MATLAB, Python, or C++ Knowledge of IEC 61400 standards and their application within loads simulations Strong collaboration and communication skills in English
