Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBolongo Bay Beach Resort is located on the serene island of St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands and is a family-owned and managed beach resort nestled in a beautiful sandy bay along the Caribbean Sea. To be eligible for this position, candidates must either reside on St. Thomas or be able to relocate before the start date. Position Purpose:Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is seeking a Server Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional service to our guests.
A Server Assistant helps servers more promptly and efficiently serve their tables by running food, bussing tables and providing tables with any necessary items. Joining our team as a Server Assistant offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic restaurant setting while providing valuable support to the dining experience. If you are passionate about hospitality and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, we encourage you to apply for this position.Responsibilities:Communicating clearly with the kitchen and front of house staffKnowledge of table numbers, seat numbers and server sectionsKnowledge of menu items and general appearance of dishesPrepare garnishes as assigned by chef/kitchen managerDeliver food to tables or servers when availableCheck food for accuracyBus and clear tables as needed following “full hand in, full hands out” thought processMaintain clean and sanitized work areaPrepares dining room including dining areas and bar area for patrons by cleaning tables, setting decorations, condiments, resetting with silverware and setting up sani-buckets with clean ragsProtects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, empty cups, replenishing utensils if needed, being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
