Support the construction of ships, barges, and other marine vessels by turning technical plans into precisely fitted steel structures.

• Interpret blueprints, detailed drawings, and layout specifications for marine structures.
• Fit, align, and assemble structural sections used in ship and barge fabrication.
• Prepare components for welding by measuring, cutting, grinding, and tacking.
• Use hand and power tools, cutting torches, grinders, and standard shipyard equipment to complete tasks.

Hands-on fabrication and fitting in a shipyard setting where accuracy, alignment, and readiness for welding are the daily focus.
