Summary: This position will consist of general maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of equipment at customer locations. The role requires a highly motivated person with a positive attitude and a desire to exceed our customer’s expectations. There are many opportunities for growth, training, and development for this position.
Essential Functions:- Maintains a safe working environment by being mindful of surroundings and safe operation of equipment.
- Excellent customer service. Candidates must be able to work with customers and leave them with a positive image of ACS at the end of each job.
- Must be self-directed, professional, clean work appearance, organized, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedule.
- Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot issues with Doosan Equipment: diesel and natural gas engines generators and electrical switching systems.
- Commissioning of new equipment as well as support of troubleshooting, testing and repair activities on existing Doosan Equipment at fuel cell installations
- Understands principles of large distribution switchgear 480-volt systems
- Understands mechanical and electrical componentry, plumbing, and systems operation.
- Will increasingly utilize the fuel cell remote monitoring system to control fuel cell, as directed.
- Knowledge of on-line technical manuals and utilize electrical schematics to troubleshoot electrical components.
- Ability to work with customers to determine issues they have and how ACS can assist in providing solutions.
- Ability to track time closely and accurately on jobs for accurate billing to customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Use of hands/fingers or feel during normal job requirements.
- Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while working on equipment.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. (and occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance.)
- Hook up trailers to a vehicle and be comfortable driving with equipment attached.
- Be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions (extreme heat and cold).
- Required to work in areas of extreme temperatures due to weather conditions and operating equipment.
- Ability to climb various equipment and ladders, lift and carry equipment, tools and components weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 4-6+ years of hands-on experience servicing/troubleshooting products containing a variety of components electrical and mechanical or AA/AS with 2-4+ years of experience preferred.
- Electrical/HVAC trade school certification preferred.
- Strong electrical/electronic problem-solving experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
