The role includes managing civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning activities while ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control.The Site Manager acts as the primary authority at site and coordinates with EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, local authorities, and client representatives to achieve successful project completion.Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Project ManagementLead complete site execution activities for the 100 MW solar PV project.Monitor daily construction progress against project schedule.Ensure timely installation of:Module mounting structuresSolar PV modulesString inverters / central invertersSCB/SMB systemsTransformersHT/LT cable networksSwitchyard and transmission line worksCoordinate civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical teams.Ensure milestone achievement as per EPC contract.2.

Planning & SchedulingPrepare and track weekly/monthly construction schedules.Coordinate with planning engineers for manpower and material forecasting.Identify delays and implement recovery plans.Ensure adherence to commissioning timelines.3. Contractor & Vendor ManagementSupervise EPC contractors and subcontractors.Review contractor productivity and quality performance.Coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery.Verify contractor billing and work completion.4. Quality Assurance & Quality ControlEnsure work execution complies with:Approved drawingsTechnical specificationsQuality standardsClient requirementsConduct regular quality inspections.Ensure proper testing and documentation:Cable testingEarthing resistanceIV curve testingTransformer testingSCADA integration checks5.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)Implement site safety procedures and HSE policies.Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings.Ensure compliance with statutory and electrical safety standards.Monitor PPE usage and safe work practices.Report and investigate incidents or near misses.6. Coordination & Stakeholder ManagementCoordinate with:Client representativesConsultantsLocal authoritiesDISCOM / utility officialsInternal engineering teamsAttend project review meetings.Provide progress updates and MIS reports to management.7.
